Continuing Education Policy

  • Americans with Disability Act (ADA)

I highly value accessibility. My goal is to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disability Act as well as other federal, state, and local laws/regulations to the best of my ability. If you believe I can meet this in a better format, please reach out to me via email.

  • Materials

I value education and growth. I strive to provide helpful, informative, and up to date materials for clinicians. Often, I collaborate with other clinicians to provide education. I have obtained permission to provide materials that I have not personally generated and will give credit to those who have created the materials.

  • Confidentiality.

I do not sell your information. I do provide your name, license number, and contact information to the regulating bodies regarding your attendance at a continuing education event as well as to cofacilitators of events. I use Google Classroom (which uses your gmail account and contact) to create a cohort feel for CEs, you can access all information without joining the page if you prefer. I do record continuing education events in order to provide both a recording as well as a transcript to attendees who may need the access or for people who were unable to attend for whatever reason. If you do not want to be recorded, please communicate with me via chat or email and we will develop a plan.

  • Program Fees, Refunds, and Cancellations.

I value financially accessible education. I work to keep prices affordable to most clinicians. To accommodate this, I do not offer refund policies. If you are unable to attend a live event, I provide the materials, recording, and transcript so that you can obtain the information. CE approval requires attendance in live/synchronous events, I cannot provide CE certificates for persons who have not attended the entire program.

  • Participant Complaints and Disputes

Please email me if you have any complaints. At the end of every continuing education event, I provide an evaluation for the continuing education event. I do require that these be completed in order to obtain the certificate of attendance. Your completed evaluation in no way will affect your receipt of your certificate. However, this is how I ensure that I complete my obligation of obtaining surveys for my regulating bodies (LPCAGA, NBCC, etc.).

  • Attendance Verification

At the beginning of all continuing education events, I have all participants sign in via a google form, this will document when you arrive. I also double check these sign ins versus the registered attendees and will check in the event to capture any attendees who perhaps had issues with the sign in.

  • Certificates of Attendance

At the end of a continuing education event, I will provide an evaluation of the event. When the evaluation is completed, I will create the certificate of attendance. Please give me 48 business hours to upload the certificate. Completed evaluations will in no way affect your ability to obtain a certificate (ie say what you want). It is simply a method to obtain the evaluation I am required to keep by accrediting bodies.

  • Record Keeping

I keep records of attendance for 5 years, these are stored in the google form sign in.

  • Evaluations

At the end of continuing education event, I provide an evaluation for the event. Completed evaluations are required to obtain a certificate of completion. If you would like to provide feedback outside of an evaluation, please email me. I personally review the feedback and make modifications accordingly.

  • Anti-Discrimination Policy

I will not discriminate against any individual or group with respect to any service, program, or activity on the basis of gender, race, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, age, organizational membership, or any other basis prohibited by law.
